Winter Workout Wishlist

I don't know about you but I'm definitely feeling the winter weather right now. I'm slowing needing more and more motivation to get me out of bed and into the studio as the darker, colder mornings creep in. What better way then to look fabulously wrapped up in these?
P.s. Loving the H&M Autumn/Winter Sportswear for amazing items with a smaller price tag.

Adidas Padded Jacket £67; Nike Flyknit Runners £110; Techfit Bra £22; Adidas Tee £30; H&M Purple Yoga £19.99; H&M Striped Yoga £14.99; H&M Bag£24.99

London, Dance & Mummy

There has been more than one occasion where I have taken my poor mother to the theatre and forced her to sit through hours of contemporary dance… I'm talking about the type you can't help but say 'What the hell?!' or 'I could do that on my kitchen floor!' This time though, I knew we were in for a treat watching Akram Khan's iTMOi at Sadler's Wells.
So this is just a quick post for this weekends antics.
It's been fully of yummy treats and quality mother and daughter time!
Plus, I got to play around with all the buttons on Mum's camera and got a little panorama happy.

Hope you've had a good weekend too.

Limbo: A 90 Second Screen Dance

For my final term three project…. yes FINAL Woohoo! (A 90 second solo) I chose to create a piece of screen dance as I love a bit of dance film and media.
My concept was based around the idea of gender 'codes'. But basically turned into a lot of fun dressing up and rolling around a grimy subway tunnel in Bristol city centre.
'A child does not enter this world with a fixed gender identity:
they play the constructed rules, behaviours,
activities and attributes
that are thought to be appropriate within the
environment they are exposed to.'
Give it a view and tell me what you think! Not sure how I feel about watching the male version of myself.

My first year of University is almost over - Scary Stuff!
Enjoy…

And with that you live your life...

I'm not a good writer, I never have been. Which means you will probably be seeing more pictures and less writing from me.

…..And I guess thats also why I dance.

Why I read it, watch it, breathe it and live it.

And why this is probably my favourite paragraph ever written by the queen of contemporary, Martha Graham.
